Short version: Hum sirf utna hi data lete hain jitna app chalane ke liye zaroori hai. Hum Aadhaar number nahi maangte. Hum aapka data kisi ko bechte ya share nahi karte. Aap kabhi bhi apna data delete karwa sakte hain.

1. Who we are

JanVyapar ("we", "us") provides a mobile application and website that helps mandi participants — vapari, gaddidar, farmers, labour and drivers — manage their daily trade workflow. This policy explains how we handle your personal data, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.

2. Information we collect

Mobile number (OTP-verified) — your identity in the app.
Name and role (vapari, gaddidar, farmer, etc.).
Profile/transaction details you enter — e.g. crop, weight, rate, payment status, receipts.
Photos (e.g. profile, kathaslip) — only with your consent.
Approximate location — only if you allow it, for area-based features.

We do NOT collect your Aadhaar number.

3. How we use it

To run the app — calculations, purja, receipts and records.
To send transaction receipts and updates via in-app, SMS, or WhatsApp (only after you opt in).
To secure your account (OTP login).
To improve the product and provide support.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to run the app (e.g. SMS/WhatsApp delivery, cloud hosting, payment processing), under agreements that require them to protect it. We may disclose data if required by law.

5. WhatsApp messages

Receipts and updates over WhatsApp are sent only after you opt in. You can opt out any time by replying STOP or telling us at the contact below.

6. Your rights (DPDP)

Access and correct your data.
Withdraw consent and request deletion of your account/data.
Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer.

7. Data security & retention

We use OTP-based login, HTTPS encryption, and encryption at rest for sensitive fields. We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law, after which it is deleted.

8. Children

The app is meant for adults running a mandi business. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 without verifiable guardian consent.
